This is another example of how, after a period of time, the most important goal of an organization is to protect and maintain the organization itself rather that the goal for which the organization was originally established. I have recommended that any organization should have a charter for about 40 years, then it must be abandoned. Until we recognize this reality, problems like this will continue. Of course the law that organization can only exist for 40 years should itself be reviewed in 40 years, if not sooner.
