I never quite understood how Mary could be a perpetual virgin and yet, as Joseph's wife, be without sin.
According to one Catholic document: "The marriage duty means that a married person is obliged to give intercourse to his (or her) partner whenever it is reasonably asked for. It is usually a mortal sin to refuse when the request is reasonable."
Bill Cosby had an entire routine devoted to this issue. He, a Protestant, was married to a Catholic. He said it was it beautiful. Whenever she had a headache, he would threaten to call the Pope.
And of course there's Zorba: "God has a very big heart, but there is one sin he will not forgive.If a woman calls a man to her bed and he will not go."
