I thought one of the rules was that you could only name a living person. Maybe their tradition of ancester worship accounts for it, but the Chinese apparently didn't quite understand this. As it was, the pollsters had to eliminate votes for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping. And yet, Bruce Lee, as dead as old Marley, still comes in 10th.

Also, how does Justine Bieber end up being the 7th most admired person in Indonesia?

All of Indonesia's selections make it out to be a very strange place, which likes its football.

With a rating higher than anyone but Putin in Russia (I'd like these charts to be averaged with "the most despised" results), Obama most likely could be president of Nigeria, which would be bad luck for Goodluck Jonathan.
