Pittsburgh made the national news again for its software and robotic industries, and more. Uber's first self-driving car is being tested—where else, but in Pittsburgh. John Bares, the head of Uber's Advanced Technology Center explained Pittsburgh's enviable position when he told the Tribune Review, "the city's narrow and hilly streets, haphazard parking, rainy and snowy weather and aging infrastructure have made [Pittsburgh] a challenging place to test self-driving technology." High praise indeed! Let silicon valley try to top that.
