Humpty Dumpty

What important word is missing from the Humpty Dumpty rhyme?

(Maybe this is an old question, but it's the first time I heard it)

Hmm...important grammatically, or important historically? or is that part of the question?

Interesting, had my answer confirmed on wiki (don't want to give it away), weird how knowing the events and characters of the rhyme throws you off. Also, along with not knowing the original purpose of the rhyme.

Warning Spoiler Alert!
As Pete said, this appears to be somewhat misdirecting. I assume you mean the answer to the original riddle. Maybe I had the same guess as Pete, since it was at least mentioned on Wikipedia--the Shakespeare reference.
